  • We welcome most donations, but ask that you refrain from giving electronics (currently) and large bags of miscellaneous assorted items. Please separate clothing from other goods and as always, please make sure items are not stained, torn or chipped. We also may need to limit the amount of donations we take at one time.

About

The Fair Tide Thrift Store was born out of the housing program. Many local citizens donated furniture and household items to the first occupants of the Fair Tide house. The donations continued to pour in beyond the resident’s needs which prompted the founders to start a thrift store. In 2003, the Fair Tide Thrift Store opened its doors to the public and has been providing critical funding to the housing program ever since. All profits from the store go directly to supporting Fair Tide’s mission; however it has also grown to be an essential resource for the community at large.

Donations

Fair Tide’s thrift store relies solely on the generous in-kind donations from community members.  We accept donations during business hours. Donations can be received at the front desk by one of our staff.  Through donating to the thrift store you are helping further Fair Tide’s mission to support those who are less fortunate.
*Please see below for more info on items that we can & cannot accept

Volunteer

The Thrift store is run on a small part time staff and relies heavily on our volunteers in order to keep the store running smoothly. New volunteers are always welcome including those seeking community service hours.  Opportunities include merchandise preparation/placement, occasional early evening shifts to sort donations, organizing, cleaning, and more.
